Bilingual English and Norwegian (mother tongue) freelance translator with over 20 years' translation experience. I handle a variety of subjects, although a large part of my work over the past 10 years has been in the pharmaceutical field (SPCs, PILs, clinical trial documentation, questionnaires etc.) and other health-related areas. I have to date worked mainly from English into Norwegian. Increasingly I am translating Norwegian into English, in co-operation with a British editor. This work is mainly for Norwegian academics and museums. I have recently completed the translation into Norwegian of a comprehensive report on discrimination for the Council of Europe and a translation into English of an academic textbook on social pedagogy.
I also translate Swedish and Danish into Norwegian, and occasionally into English.
I am an active member of the ITI's Medical Network of translators and other online translation groups. I visit Norway several times a year and regularly attend translation conferences and workshops. I am a LinkedIn member.
When I'm not working I like reading and listening to music, country walking and lunching in nice pubs, choral singing, travelling and spending time in Norway and in our house in rural Andalucía.
